Welcome! I am so happy you chose to gather around my table. My name is Mia Swinehart and I am a registered dietitian with a passion for simple healthy recipes, women's hormonal health, and overall wellness!
Never enough pasta recipes on the blog if you ask me! This new lightened up version of the classic Alfredo pasta is creamy, flavorful, and SO easy!
I made this sauce in partnership with siggi’s dairy. Their plain yogurt is one of my favorite ingredients to add to a pasta sauce like this one. Adding siggi’s increases the protein of the sauce, and it adds a light yet creamy texture. Plus, there is no added sugar so it’s the perfect addition for a savory sauce!
All of siggi’s products are made with super simple ingredients, and they’re always higher in protein and lower in sugar. I am all about that! I love finding different ways to use their yogurts in recipes!
This Alfredo sauce is such a winner. For one, it’s easy to whip up after a busy day! It’s also picky eater friendly; it’s so delicious the whole family will love it! And with a sauce this good, it’s east to sneak in some veggies to the pasta for a nutrient boost!
This Alfredo pasta can be kept vegetarian (we served ours here with some broccoli), or you can add in some chicken or shrimp for some extra protein! It is so delicious either way. I cannot get enough!
The sauce is a simple blend of siggi’s yogurt, dairy free milk, parmesan, butter, and garlic. It’s so creamy, and could not be easier to make. You essential just blend it all up in a blender after a quick sauté of the garlic and you’re set! Just toss it with your pasta of choice, and serve with any veggies or protein if you prefer for a comforting, nourishing, and delicious dinner.
I am so excited for you guys to try this Alfredo pasta! Be sure to tag me on Instagram if you make it, and leave me a note below so I can hear what you think! Enjoy! xo
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the butter then slightly reduce heat. Sauté garlic until fragrant, 30-60 seconds. Remove from heat and sed aside.
Cook pasta according to directions on box. Reserve ¼ cup of pasta water just before straining.
In a blender, add the butter and garlic, yogurt, oat or almond milk, parmesan, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth, adding the pasta water as needed to thin.
In the skillet where you cooked the garlic, stir together the pasta and the sauce. If needed, turn on low heat to gently heat the sauce for 1-2 minutes. Careful not to overheat, as this will cause separation in the yogurt.

Yes! When I heat it up I do it gently on the stove with a splash of almond or oat milk, or veggie broth. It helps to thin the sauce out when reheating!
SO GOOD!!! I honestly might like this better than cream based alfredo, the yogurt adds a great tartness without taking away any of the richness. Also, super easy to make!
I LOVED this recipe!! I normally don’t cook but I decided to try this so I can eat a little healthier and it was so fun, quick, and easy! You would think that the yogurt makes it taste weird but it taste almost better than normal alfredo!!
This recipe exceeded my expectations and was quick and easy to make. I used dairy free yogurt and almond milk. I also subbed Mia’s vegan parm instead real parm.
I had some leftover ground turkey meat in the fridge and mixed it with the sauce. Then served it with Cappello’s sweet potato gnocchi. The flavor combinations were amazing and I can’t wait to eat the leftovers tomorrow.
Hi Michelle! It’s not a super thick sauce, but it shouldn’t be watery! Did you add pasta water to the sauce? It’s possible your sauce didn’t need it, so you can skip it. Also, what type of yogurt did you use? You want to make sure it’s a thick Greek-style yogurt!
One of my absolute fav recipes! Found it through Tiktok and had to try…I’m a 17 year old who loves to cook and made this for my family and they loved it as well! The yogurt adds such a great tartness; store-bought Alfredo usually makes me feel sick so this is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! A must try for sure 🙂
Another weeknight dinner on the books! Used Fage lactose free yogurt and Follow Your Heart dairy free parmesan for the perfect dairy free alfredo I’ve been searching for. Also added chicken and broccoli–it was perfection! As always, keep em comin!
This is the one and only recipe that did not work out for me. Everything else you make is perfect but this one was a miss. Maybe it’s just how I made it!
This pasta is insane. We like it better than “regular” Alfredo. I typically use green yogurt and it turns out great. I also love adding extra extra black pepper to this.
Would this be good as leftovers through out the week?
Yes! When I heat it up I do it gently on the stove with a splash of almond or oat milk, or veggie broth. It helps to thin the sauce out when reheating!
FYI I don’t see milk in the actual recipe- am I missing something?
Thank you michelle! Sorry! You toss it in the blender with everything else- i updated it! 🙂

Hi! Just made this today but the sauce wasn’t a light creamy but rather watery. Do you know why? Or is it supposed to be like that?
