Perfect, simple, and delicious bolognese pasta sauce made in the Instant Pot! I could not be more excited to share this amazing recipe with you all- it’s a new absolute favorite in our home!

I made this recipe for a great New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day dinner, but this, of course, makes a perfect any time dinner! Great for an easy weeknight family dinner, for meal prep, or a cozy Sunday meal.

My favorite way to serve this is with tagliatelle or spaghetti, but it would also be so great with spaghetti squash for a pasta alternative! You can really make it your own and use the sauce however you prefer!

This sauce has such a depth of flavor from the red wine, crushed tomatoes, beef broth, meats, and seasonings. It’s simple to make, yet has so many layers of flavors. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Can I make this without an Instant Pot?

I have not tested this recipe any other way, so I can’t say for sure! While I believe a slow cooker would work, I haven’t tested it myself so I am not sure about the timing and final result! If you make this in a slow cooker, be sure to let me and the other readers know! 🙂

Can I make this dairy free?

Yes! You can skip the whole milk at the end (but it adds a delicious light creaminess to finish the sauce), and serve without parmesan if you need it to be dairy free.

I am so excited for you all to try this Instant Pot Bolognese! I can’t wait to hear what you think of this recipe. Enjoy! xo

Can you share which brand and type of pasta you used here?

  2. Dani says:

We like this one a lot ! We add a little extra seasonings because the first time it needed a lot of salt 😅. But very easy and yummy.

  3. Abbi says:

This was amazing! I made this in my instant pot but brought it to a boil and then slow cooked it on high for 5 hours. I also added a little Italian seasoning, as well as added spinach right before serving to add more veggies. It turned out amazing and I’ll be making this for the years to come!!!

  4. Abbi says:

Forgot to give it a 5 star. 😊
