This is my skin, no editing/filtering or make up. Skin that I am proud of— and if you have been following along and read part 1 of my journey with hormonal imbalances and out of control hormonal acne (post linked here), you will know that a year ago I would have never dreamed of posting this photo. I was completely uncomfortable in my own skin; I could hardly look in the mirror without tearing up at my unrecognizable skin.

After finding what really worked for me to heal my hormonal imbalances, I have landed on a skincare routine that I absolutely love.

I have always been interested in women’s health as it pertains to nutrition, but when my own hormones went out of control I really took a deep dive into every facet of this topic— the products we use on our skin and in our home, the foods we eat, the supplements and medications, our cycles, etc. I want to continue to share more on this to help women in my shoes. I was absolutely blown away by the number of you that reached out to me telling em you could relate to my story— and I truly to believe I was put in my situation to find healing and therefore help other women who may be struggling to.

Now for the good stuff! A much requested round-up of my favorite skincare products. This post is completely unsponsored. However, I do want to address the pricey costs of some of these products. In order o transition to a nontoxic skincare routine, I did so veryyy slowly. One product at a time. This way I could really pinpoint and eliminate what products weren’t working for me, so that I didn’t need to spend unnecessary money. It also helps to not break the bank all at once. Additionally, what works for me may not work for you. This point is so important— our genes, skin types, environment, and situations are incredibly unique, and so our needs are always going to be different. It’s easy to get frustrated when something works for someone but doesn’t work for us, but it’s a journey to find what ultimately will help you. And I am always here to answer questions!

Below are the products for nighttime routine:

Nourish Organic Face Wash: One thing I stand by is that you don’t need to spend a ton of money on face wash, because it is on your skin for a matter of seconds. It’s still important to have one with solid ingredients, but I just don’t find it necessary to break the bank on it. Find one that doesn’t overly dry your skin but removes makeup and impurities. I love this one!

Tata Harper Resurfacing Serum While this one is pricey, a little goes a long way and it lasts me a pretty long time! I put this on first after washing my face and love the glow it gives my skin (and it smells amazing).

One Love Organics Eye Balm Love the ingredients in this one, and it lasts forever! You only need a little bit. Just be careful not to get this too close to your actual eyes- I found my eyes to be sensitive to it if it got too close or if I got lazy and rubbed it near my eye lids!

H is for Love BARA Balm Another pricier one, but another one that has lasted me over 4 months. This one is loaded with natural oils that are amazing for our skin. I feel like it’s a little powerhouse of a product that packs a lot into one. However, I recommend starting with the less pricey oils below and seeing if those work well for you if you don’t want to drop the money on this one!

Botanical E Serum Vitamin E is amazing for the skin. I love how this one feels, and you only need a small amount. I only add this to the mix if my skin is extra dry, otherwise I just use this one for day time! If this is still too pricey, below is an affordable oil I also love.

Acure Blue Tansy Oil This oil is a great price with solid ingredients! I recommend starting with this if you are just getting into using face oils and don’t want to pay a pretty penny.

Ursa Major Recovery Cream or Juice Beauty Nutrient Moisturizer I love both of these lotions equally for a moisturizing boost after I let my oils set into my skin. They both have great ingredients, and a little goes a long way. This is my last step for my nighttime routine!

I really hope this is helpful for you guys! I can’t wait to hear what you think, and for some of you to try these products I love. Again, I am getting paid zero dollars for any of this post, it’s just products I genuinely have loved using. I am always experimenting, though, and will continue to take you along my skin journey.

These products all look amazing! I’m going to order the cleanser can’t wait to try it! Do you use an exfoliator in your routine? If so, can you recommend one?

I don’t use an exfoliator, but I use a mask usually once a week. I love juice beauty’s apple peel!
