Healthy Greek Yogurt French Onion Dip

High protein French onion dip made with Greek yogurt!


  • 2 medium onions, diced very small
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups plain greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • Fresh chives, for serving


  1. Make onion first so that they have time to cool to room temp. To make, add butter to a large skillet over medium heat. Add onions, salt, and pepper, and reduce heat to medium-low.
  2. Allow to cook for 35 minutes, stirring every 5 or so minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely before making the rest of the dip.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the remaining ingredients together with the caramelized onions (*onions must be completely cooled to avoid curdling the yogurt!*). Chill in fridge until ready to serve. Add to your serving dish, top with fresh chives, and serve with chips/veggies.
