There’s something I am so obsessed with about springtime snacking: the light, bright flavors, the picnic-ready bites, the balance of fresh and indulgent. This Whipped Basil Feta & Strawberry Jam on Crunchy Baguette is all of that and more!! A sweet-and-savory flavor bomb that comes together in minutes but feels like a restaurant-worthy appetizer.
Creamy whipped feta with Greek yogurt and fresh basil creates the perfect contrast to glossy, fruity strawberry jam—all piled high on golden, toasted baguette slices. Whether you’re hosting brunch, packing a picnic, or pouring a chilled glass of rosé for friends on the patio, this is the dish to bring to the table.
Why You’ll Love It
Bursting with spring flavors: herby, tangy, creamy, and sweet
No fancy tools required—just a food processor
Comes together in 15 minutes or less
Feels elevated, but is super easy to make
Perfect for sharing, grazing, or impressing last-minute guests
🛒 Ingredients
For the whipped feta:
8 oz feta cheese (preferably in block form, not pre-crumbled)
3/4 cup thick Greek yogurt (whole milk works best)
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp honey
A generous pinch of salt
A handful of fresh basil leaves
To serve:
1 crusty baguette, sliced
1/2 cup strawberry jam (choose a quality jam or go homemade)
Flaky sea salt, for topping (optional)
Fresh basil, microgreens, or edible flowers, for garnish (optional)
How to Make It
1. Make the Whipped Basil Feta
In a food processor or blender, combine:
Feta cheese
Greek yogurt
Olive oil
Honey
Salt
Basil leaves
Blend until smooth, fluffy, and fully whipped—scrape down the sides as needed. Taste and adjust: add a bit more olive oil for a silkier texture or a touch more honey if you like a sweeter finish.
Make-ahead tip: You can whip the feta mixture a day in advance and store it covered in the fridge. Let it sit at room temp for 10–15 minutes before spreading.
2. Toast the Baguette
Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch pieces. Arrange on a baking sheet and drizzle or brush lightly with olive oil.
Toast in a 375°F oven for 5–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crisp.
3. Assemble
Spread a thick layer of whipped basil feta onto each toasted baguette slice. Top with a spoonful of strawberry jam and give it a good swirl. Finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt, and garnish with extra basil or microgreens if desired.
Serving Suggestions
Serve as part of a spring brunch board with fresh fruit and prosciutto
Pack in a picnic basket alongside other little bites
Cut into halves for bite-sized party appetizers
Add a drizzle of hot honey or balsamic glaze
Ingredient Notes & Tips
Feta: Use a high-quality block for best texture and flavor. Avoid pre-crumbled feta, which tends to be drier and less creamy.
Yogurt: Full-fat Greek yogurt gives the whipped feta a rich, luscious consistency.
Jam: Strawberry is a beautiful match here, but you could swap in fig, raspberry, or cherry preserves too.
Herbs: Don’t skimp on the basil—it’s what makes the whipped feta sing with spring freshness.
Sweet, salty, herby, and creamy—this Whipped Basil Feta & Strawberry Jam Baguette is the kind of dish that surprises people in the best way. It looks gorgeous, tastes even better, and requires almost no effort. Whether you’re entertaining or just treating yourself, it’s a perfect bite of spring. Cannot wait for you all to try this one!!
