One pan butternut squash and Italian chicken sausage meal!
Ingredients

- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 lb ground Italian chicken sausage (I used spicy)
- 3 large handfuls of chopped kale
- 1/2 tsp dried sage
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup-1 cup of low sodium chicken bone broth
- 1 jar of creamy butternut squash pasta sauce
- 1 can butter beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and chicken sausage. Cook, breaking up, until cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in kale and all of the seasonings. Stir in broth (start with 1/2 cup) and butternut squash sauce. Keep at a low simmer.
- Stir in beans and Parmesan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add more broth as needed, depending on how thick you want the sauce to be. Serve with toasty bread or over rice and enjoy!
